Ride to Dipaculao, Aurora Beach

We began our ride to Dipaculao, Aurora at around 0700H. The cool morning air and clear skies made it an ideal start. Our first stop was to refill gas with 7.5 liters for Php 390. After that, we continued the journey and made a brief stop for some fresh coconut from a roadside vendor. The sweet juice was refreshing and gave us a good boost before hitting the road again.

By 1100H, we stopped for lunch along the Maharlika Highway. The food was simple but satisfying. After resting for about an hour, we got back on the road, re-energized. Along the way, we had another gas refill, 4 liters for Php 220.

Then came the most scenic part of our ride. The route through Pantabangan, Canili, and Basal Road was breathtaking. We passed by green rice fields, a calm lake, and rolling mountains. The twisty roads added some challenge and excitement, but also gave us plenty of chances to appreciate the peaceful surroundings. Trees lined many parts of the route, and the views just kept getting better around each curve.

Road Challenges and Beach Arrival

As we approached Maria Aurora, we came across a narrow road that allowed only one vehicle at a time, though it was a two-way road. It’s important to be patient and alert in these situations. Just follow a give-and-take approach, wait your turn, and always be respectful of oncoming traffic.

Around 1700H, we finally arrived at J. Viernes Beach Front Resort in Dinadiawan, Dipaculao. The view instantly made the entire trip worth it. The white sand was clean and soft, perfect for barefoot walks. The blue water was clear, and small fish could be seen swimming near the shore. The calm sound of waves made it the perfect spot to relax.

We decided to stay overnight and rented a tent for Php 1000. We set it up near the water, where we could enjoy the cool sea breeze and the sound of the ocean as we rested.

For dinner, we went to Tita Tess Tapsi and Restaurant. We ordered tapsilog, mami, and chicken inasal. The tapsilog was savory and garlicky, the mami warm and comforting, and the grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful. The total for dinner was about Php 350.

Morning Swim and Ride Back

We woke up early the next morning to make the most of the high tide and enjoy a swim before the sun became too hot. The water was calm and inviting, and the beach was quiet and peaceful. It was the perfect moment to enjoy the natural beauty of the place.

Before heading back, we returned to Tita Tess for another meal. We had tapsilog, tokneneng (quail eggs), and some refreshing drinks. The cost was around Php 350 again.

We took the same scenic route back through Pantabangan, Canili, and Basal Road. This time, the familiar curves and views felt even more relaxing. Before the final stretch home, we made one last gas refill with 7 liters for Php 400.
